Lisbon Storm, Screen & Door

Serving Milwaukee since 1945

The Wilhelm family began operations in the "Uptown District" of Lisbon avenue in 1945 when Lawrence Wilhelm opened his grocery store on the corner of 52nd and Lisbon. Through an odd unfolding of events in the late 1950's Lawrence began selling used windows and doors right at the grocery store. Demand for this new "grocery" line, became so popular that in 1961 he closed the grocery store and started Lisbon Storm Screen and Door Company. In 1970 the store incorporated under its current name Lisbon Storm, Screen and Door Inc. Today, our annual sales are in excess of 9 million and our customer base extends throughout the United States.

During the mid-1980's Lawrence sold his shares to his two sons Gerald and Paul. In 1988 Gerald and Paul closed the 52nd street location for a much bigger and more usable building only a block down on 51st. Since that time the store has increased about 420% in volume and continues its aggressive growth every year. On January 1, 1998 Paul and Gerald sold their interests in the corporation to Daniel Wilhelm and David Wilhelm.

We are now one of Wisconsin's largest Marvin Window Dealers. In 2007 we purchased the paint, trim coil and caulk division of Builder's World Corporation. This has enabled us to distribute building materials in every Marvin clad color. In fact, the Marvin Windows Corp even buys its touch up spray cans from us!

Today we continue to experience incredible growth in both our customer base and our product lines. We have been featured in Milwaukee Magazine's annual "Best Of" edition. We are a BBB accredited business and are members of NARI and the MBA.
